Associate, Global Deal Advisory

Location: Flexible across Western Europe

Estimated Travel (Europe):  20-30%

 

We are looking for an Associate for our Global Deal Advisory group. You will provide support on initiatives relating to the largest & most significant deals in our business globally, including global key accounts & other top customer accounts, step-change business development growth projects, M&A, divestitures and special projects. Activities include but are not limited to financial analysis and proposal modeling, due diligence, proposal preparation, industry/company research, and deal project management.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Analyse and/or develop financial models and projections
  • Assist the team with preparation of proposals for submission for customer commercial tenders
  • Conduct industry/company research, including risk analysis
  • Perform valuation analysis for projects and companies, including IRR, NPV, ROI & WACC calculations
  • Assist the team with running a competitive process to select most appropriate financial institution to support a specific transaction
  • Maintain deal management information systems
  • Support the team by providing performance analytics on historical and targeted deal closings and to support the development of efficient analytical tools
  • Handle projects to ensure administrative compliance with deal terms and establish, implement, and monitor reporting metrics for relevant functions
  • Possess good understanding of how the team integrates with other teams in accomplishing the commercial and growth objective
  • Management of internal stakeholders across different BU’s and commercial function
  • Provides regular reporting to Senior Manager and VP Deal Advisory

 

Key Skills and Experience

 

  • Experience in management consulting/investment banking/Big 4 firm/other relevant experience
  • Experience or interest in the packaging industry is preferred
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, including experience in financial modeling & valuation tools
  • Ability to synthesize massive amounts of information into clear insights and communicate simple narratives
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Entrepreneurial mind set
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/economics/business or equivalent.
  • Fluency in English and one other European language highly advantageous
