<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Role Description

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">To manage and maintain people and resources to optimise long and short-term engineering activities, in order to provide engineering services for the decoration of glass

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Key Responsibilities

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Comply with Company Health and Safety Procedures in order to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and those around you. Carry out housekeeping as required in accordance with Company Hygiene Rules.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Responsible for the sites Electrical health & safety and compliance in relation to all electrical services and systems
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Responsible for engineers and apprentices of a variety of skill sets working across the manufacturing facility, controls, PLC’s, electrical and instrumentation maintenance. 
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Deploys the engineering teams’ resources appropriately to ensure the maximum efficiency of the plant and aid in meeting KPI targets
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Will be capable of driving change and continuous improvement in the department through culture management
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Dedicated towards driving the SAP planned and maintenance strategy to deliver consistent service and results to internal stakeholders to minimise downtime
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Communicates clearly engineering service issues to the team to emphasis on the importance of providing a quality service to production
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Managing the team of engineers on a day to day basis to successfully aid in improving existing plant systems, implementing new technologies, management of projects and contractors
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Control spending on repairs and maintenance within budgets whilst meeting departmental performance expectations
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Dedicated to training and development of staff and apprentices to ensure the future success of engineering and successful retention/recruitment of staff

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Requirements

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">People Management
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">HNC/D or degree qualified in an engineering discipline
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Minimum 10 years’ experience of a manufacturing environment within engineering
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Experience of modern electrical and control techniques
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Understanding of a glass container decoration facility and associated services
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">In-depth knowledge of complex automation, networks, machinery, and maintenance systems
