Bench Repair

Role Description
Repair and maintain mould equipment to specifications in order to ensure that mould equipment meets production requirements.

Key Responsibilities
•    Comply with Company Health and Safety Procedures in order to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and those around you. Carry out housekeeping as required in accordance with Company Hygiene Rules. 
•    Identify damage to mould equipment and repair using spray welding repair techniques and procedures in order to maintain quality standards of equipment
•    Modify mould equipment in order to maintain quality standards.
•    Carry out checks on mould equipment to ensure that specifications are complied with
•    Perform lathe work
•    Carry out milling, drilling and grinding on mould equipment to ensure that specifications are met 
•    Operate a forklift truck in order to move heavy equipment around plant.
•    Record daily work carried out on job sheet in order to provide an accurate reference point

Ability to work on mould equipment:
•    Set Up
•    Adjust
•    Repair
•    Dismantle/Reassemble
•    Diagnose Faults
Ability to communicate 
Ability to drive a fork lift truck
Understanding of terminology relating to moulds: 
•    Equipment 
•    Procedures 
•    Defects 
Good working knowledge of work areas within the mould repair department
Understanding of drawings relating to mould equipment.
