Regional Chemical Process Engineer

We are looking for Regional Chemical Process Engineer.
The role provides engineering service to the business in line with the defined processes focusing on project management, process standardization, continuous improvement and training.
Responsibility:
• Responsible to provide process engineering support in line with defined business processes.
• The main areas of responsibility are all engineering subjects related to chemical can making process (Washer, DI System, wastewater treatment, water treatment, coolant system, related chemicals and lubes)
• Responsible for compliance with the Company Management Systems (e.g. Project, Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety Regulations).
• Responsible for compliance with the latest international rules, regulations and standards.
• Responsible for compliance with Ardagh business.
• Drive/support introduction/implementation of new chemical products
• Drive knowledge transfer across plants and cross-functionally - Training of new and improving the knowledge of existing employees.
• Introduction of new methodologies for monitoring the quality of cans after the washing processes.
• Pro-actively update on latest internal and external rules and regulations.
• Application of actual rules and regulations in daily business. Actively interfere on recognition of ignored rules and regulations of others.
• Responsible for definition, organization, planning, execution and finalization of defined international projects in line with defined business processes.
• Responsible for planning, supervision and steering of internal and external resources during projects.
• Establish detailed specifications for equipment.
• Establish cost and time plans under consideration of overall project needs.
• Close collaboration with internal and external resources to meet safety, time, cost and quality objectives.
• Active involvement in spoilage reduction, safety topics, water consumption reduction and Chemical process optimization.
• Responsible for the standardization and harmonization of manufacturing processes and equipment across the AMP locations.
• Drive the standardization approach using actively the ABP tool to place ABP’s and transform active ones into equipment specifications.
• Responsible for maintaining and extending supplier contacts and observe the relevant market for new technologies and equipment.
• Responsible to propose and initiate maintenance best practices related to chemical process
• Support benchmarking exercises by collecting and analyzing data and developing improvement programs and proposing optimizations and investments in new technologies.
• Organize regular information exchange with internal stake holders.
• Provide full documentation of manufacturing support activities through manufacturing support work platform.
• Support on new lines start up
Requirements:
• Graduated chemical / process engineer or equivalent education. MBA is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of common application programs - MS Office, SPC, QA/Infinity, WinCC..
• 10+ years in process engineering in can manufacturing, focusing on Washer and Wet Systems, Waster Water treatments and water recycling
• Process engineering, maintenance and support focusing on can making FE/Wet Systems.
• Min 5 years in an international, automated production environment.
• Knowledge of new technologies in can manufacturing field, related to washer and wet systems
• Regulatory compliance changes and adaptation to processes (BPANI, LedUV…)
• Strong collaboration skills to meet safety, time, cost, and quality goals.
• Experience with CAPEX project proposals and ROI calculations
• Good understanding of modern lean manufacturing techniques (SMED, Keizen, 6S, Kanban, SPC / 6 Sigma, TPM / OEE)
• Broad understanding of Plant Operations with demonstrated experience in manufacturing support
