Ardagh Metal Packaging is looking for Technical Editor Standard & Documentation


The main purpose of the position is to create and maintain selected areas of  the documentation, which are needed to meet the requirements from the Quality Management System, the technical documentation at the company. This includes IT skills for the technical support and further development of a Document and Content Management and Customer Information System IT solution. The role requires the ability to support the organisation to document processes, procedures, SOPs within the Company's Integrated Management System. 


Key responsibilities: 

  • Planning and implementation of projects in the area of technical documentation in line with our pre-defined project management procedures
  • Planning, preparation, maintenance, and distribution of IMS documentation including technical documentation
  • Preparation, maintenance, and distribution of company’s Customer Information Manual (CIM)
  • Monitor those internal and external standards match
  • Support the Key user DMS and further development of company’s new DMS
  • Responsible for contact, yearly contracts and cost controlling of department assigned support/business partners (i.e. translations, external service …).
  • Assist to ensure trouble-free functionality of DMS software in consultation with the IS department
  • Leading role for development of technical documents, templates, and Customer Information Manual (CIM) of the company
  • Help to implement a continuous improvement process
  • Support to the organisation in terms of new word templates, changes of templates, graphical design, posters, etc. 



  • University or technical college degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Additional qualification: Technical publisher
  • Fluent in English and German, fluency in other European languages is advantageous
  • Knowledge of means and methods to be used for preparing documentation (e.g., Microsoft Office package, Adobe FrameMaker, Acrobat, Creative Suite, AutoCAD, HTML, CMOS (OpenText etc.), SharePoint
  • IT and technical edition skills
  • knowledge about and of how to use a Document Management Systems, CMS, draw up documentation  
  • knowledge required to independently manage documentation projects
  • knowledge of pertinent standards and regulations, client and server operating systems and HTML
  • linguistic and didactic qualification
