CTD Data Architect / Modeler (m/f/d)

Role Description:
The data architect aspect of this role is ultimately accountable for creating and maintaining the enterprise data architecture that meets data governance, regulatory and business requirements. The data modeler aspect of this role is ultimately accountable for designing databases that meet organisational needs using conceptual, logical, and physical data models. The role requires that the technical architecture supports the data management initiatives and are aligned with related defined policies and processes.This role designs models to improve efficiency and outputs and may focus on issues such as reducing data redundancy or improving data movement across systems. The Data Architect will be a main point of contact for technical activities between the Centre for Transformation & Digitalisation (CTD) and Group IT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participates in the startup of new projects and business changes to support and ensure adherence to the Data Definitions
- This role is responsible for mapping the business requirements to data requirements and define how the data should be provisioned to the business to serve their BI and Analytics needs to ensure consistency, ease of use and performance
- Supports the delivery of analytical products to business users via participating in Agile development pod activities including Agile ceremonies
- Reviews data model design in collaboration with Group IT, aligning to modelling standards
- Supervises the technical design and implementation of changes to the solution architecture
- Ensures that the data management solutions and data assets are supported by an architecture supporting overall architectural vision, in collaboration with Group IT
- Input into the logical & business data model and relevant data dictionaries
- Assists the Data Governance organisation in logical and physical data modeling
- Owns collateral and documentation of data and application architecture, in collaboration with IT
- Supports in data quality and metrics generation
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or related field required (Master’s degree preferred)
- At least 7 years of professional experience
- Data Engineer/Architect certification (e.g. MS Azure Data Engineer or SAP Data Architects) is a plus
- Experience in a data analysis or management role
- Experience using modelling tools especially in the context of SAP BW or BW/4HANA
- Extensive experience in data models of SAP ERP and SAP BW or BW/4HANA
- Understanding of Microsoft Office 365 especially PowerBI
- Proven ability to work in distributed systems
- Must be able to develop creative solutions to problems
- Working proficiency in English and any other European languages are a plus
