Procurement Process Specialist - Ardagh Metal Packaging (m/f/d)

 

Purpose of the role
Procurement has started an extensive transformation programme to modernise the function and accelerate value delivery to enable Ardagh’s sustainable and competitive growth. The Procurement Process Specialist could be based in several of AMP locations including Bonn (Germany), Chester (UK), Valdemorillo (Spain), Oss (The Netherlands) and Enzesfeld (Austria) and support building the foundations and a future proven environment for Ardagh Metal Packaging’s global Procurement community. The role works closely with the global Procurement community as well as other key internal project-dependent stakeholders such as Finance, Internal Control, Sustainability, Compliance, Legal and Risk.

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
 

Digital Journey (Tools, Analytics & Reporting)

  • Support the digital transformation of AMP’s Procurement function through the implementation of selected tools and corresponding change management 
  • Enable data-driven decision making by gathering functional requirements for analytics/ dashboards in collaboration with Ardagh’s IT community 
  • Ensure customer focus by communicating, defining and building reports with internal customers
     

Ways of working and Process Improvements

  • Support the organization in defining and implementing best-in-class procurement processes, procedures and workflows to deliver maximum business benefit across the entire spectrum of Procurement (Source-to-Pay, Risk Management, Supplier Performance Management, etc).
  • Enable Excellence for Category Management Teams by creating CM Toolkits
  • Stay abreast of current trends and continually identify best practices in procurement from inside and outside of Ardagh for implementation/ adoption
     

People Development

  • Establish competency and capability assessment for AMP’s global procurement function and deriving training needs
  • Create training materials to drive competency development
     

Governance and Policies

  • Assess/ (re-)design procurement policies and implement corresponding processes considering changing regulatory environment
  • Measure adoption/ compliance against processes and standards deployed


Requirements

  • University degree
  • 2 - 5 years of working experience in Procurement (or comparable e.g. Supply Chain, Consulting); Experience in Logistics, Manufacturing or Planning is a plus
  • Proven ability to work in a cross-functional team in a multicultural organisation
  • “Outside-the-box”-thinking and a strong hands-on mentality
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various business functions
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability of project management and process improvement
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office programs, Power BI, SAP experience preferred
  • Fluency in English
