R&D Project Engineer Product Development, AMP-E (m/f/d)

in any Ardagh Metal location

Role Description:
Manage R&D product & process development projects and provide technical support for the European manufacturing operations as part of a dedicated and highly motivated, international team.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing fundamental process expertise for metal forming technologies 
• Developing metal forming tooling and processes for existing and new products in cooperation with manufacturing and design engineers 
• Applying project management tools and documentation for global cross functional collaboration 
• Creating and establishing innovations including product specifications and IP
• Conducting analysis of product performance and packaging integrity
• Delivering the most realistic predictions of products and processes using latest software packages
• Generating/ executing detailed process analysis in both test- field and production environment.
• Establishing basis for light weighting program through calculations, trials and analysis
• Managing multiple R&D projects and feasibility studies including budget, schedule and resources

Requirements:

• University degree in mechanical engineering or similar / equivalent area 
• Five+ years of experience within metal forming manufacturing processes for can making
• Ability to work independently guided by strategic directives
• Analytical mindset providing fundamental support during trouble shooting
• Experience in working with intercultural engineering and business teams
• Fluency in English is a must, other European languages are beneficial 
• Enjoy working as member of an international cross- country team
• Highly- developed problem solving and presentation skills
