General Utility

Role description:
The General Utility provides assistance to all cold end activities within the plant. This involves cleaning equipment and general housekeeping duties to keep the area clean and orderly.
Compensation and Schedule:
$20.82 hourly rate during 120-day probationary period, $22.88 hourly rate after probationary period
Rotating Shift - 8a-4p, 4p-12a and 12a-8a
Responsibilities:

Monitor line ware flow
-
Shut off line equipment to clean jams and restart equipment

Load, un-jam, and restart automatic equipment
-
Repack and reselect ware, and discard off ware

Report defects to supervisor

Manually fold carton components to pre-form position
-
Follow all food safety rules and regulations
Minimum skills / qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Must be able to physically perform all related tasks associated with the position

Must be able to stand for 8 hours
-
Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds
Preferred skills / qualifications:

Experience working in a manufacturing environment
