Role Description:

Ardagh Group is looking for highly motivated qualified mechanics to join our highspeed manufacturing operations. This is a fast-paced high volume 24/7 manufacturing operation. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a safety environment with good housekeeping that injuries constant awareness and always strives for zero accidents.
  • Must have good housekeeping skills.
  • We are seeking a candidate who has the mechanical aptitude and experience of working directly with production equipment i.e. conveyors, sprays, ovens, and printers.
  • Understands the importance of proper and timely maintenance of machinery and equipment.
  • Set up adjust maintain and operate various support equipment. Mechanic has primary responsibility for production and quality on assigned equipment.
  • Able to analyze all types of mechanical or operational issues. 
  • Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
  • Constant checking of machines and vigilance of daily operation.
  • Conduct analysis by plant/item/shop as needed to focus improvement efforts.
  • Communicate the quality vision and expectations.

 

Requirements:

  • Manufacturing Industrial 5+ years’ experience and glass industry experience a plus.  
  • Achievement of an 70% score on the Mechanical Comprehension Test is required. 
  • Exposed to moderate to high noise level, Must be able to lift 50lbs plus.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required. 
  • Rotating swing shift work required. 
  • Strong analytical skills combined with a commonsense approach and good communication skills are necessary to be successful in this role.
