Role Description:

The Key Accounts Director is accountable for the revenue and contract performance of major customer account(s) and leads the cross functional team in key customer relationship management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • New business development, contract negotiation and key account leadership
  • Accuracy in monthly forecasting and communicating regularly any deviation expected to leadership team with plans to address changes in volume
  • Contract fulfilment: coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure we meet all contractual obligations, including financial reconciliations and other requirements on time to customers (e.g. freight & pricing reconciliations, slow moving, lightweight savings, rebates, etc.)
  • Assist in the development and completion of annual budgets, long range planning, competitive reporting, and strategic planning as it pertains to accounts
  • New package, value add features and innovation planning with  assigned accounts
  • Effectively communicate account requirements with quality, internal sales, supply chain, finance, planning & operations teams
  • Manage inventory, graphics and filling network relationships
  • Lead regular business reviews and promote relationships at all levels with both internal and external stakeholders

 

 Requirements:

  • 8 years packaging industry experience
  • Relationship Management skills at all levels within organizations and comfort in promoting cross functional relationships – strength in team co-ordination
  • Ability to manage tactical execution of contracts and work with teams to ensure their proper administration
  • Demonstrated forecasting & budgeting expertise
  • Ability to lead & motivate others through influence & respect and will be an acknowledged team player
  • Demonstrated skill in both written & verbal communications at the executive level
  • A person of strong conviction demonstrating ownership, accountability, & results oriented
  • Additional key attributes include the following: proactive, flexible, adaptable, dedicated, & customer focused

The anticipated base annual salary range for this role is between $156,400.00 and $234,600.00 per year.  This role is bonus eligible. The bonus incentive program is based on the company meeting or exceeding certain targets. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate and is only applicable for roles that are based out of Illinois. The final salary will be determined after considering relevant factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and work location, where appropriate.
