Sales Manager

Role Description:
Work directly with the Key Account Director to own the relationship and all responsibilities of assigned accounts while identifying and bringing on new opportunities. Focus on business development of smaller accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic member of the commercial team fulfilling demands of the business and driving processes to move the business forward.
- Complete budget, strategic planning, and competitive reporting for assigned accounts.
- Follow-up on leads and referrals and identify sales prospects through cold calling, trade shows, etc.
- Develop commercial proposal and present product offerings and contracts to current and potential customers.
- Maintain expert knowledge of product offering.
- Establish and maintain current and potential client relationships.
- Work directly with customers, Ardagh Metal-NA teams and other parties as needed to troubleshoot issues and meet customer needs.
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information or feedback gathered through field activity.
- Support various administrative activities within commercial team.
- Other sales duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year University; preferably in Business Administration, Finance or similar discipline
- 5+ years of customer facing sales experience
- Industry experience desired, manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
- Knowledge of strategic planning; relationship development, profitability metrics & pricing strategies
- Ability to lead & motivate others through influence & respect and be an acknowledged team player
- Effective time management, ability to proactively take the initiative and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with both internal and external partners

- Ability to travel up to 40%
