Print Day Engineer

Doncaster Plant

 

Role description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineer (Days) to join our Print department at our Doncaster plant. The successful applicant should have experience working with both mechanical and electrical engineering and have qualifications in either one or preferably both engineering skills to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.

Responsibilities:
  • Repair print mechanical & electrical equipment ready to be used in breakdown situations.
  • Identify and rectify mechanical & electrical faults with print equipment to maintain efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Modify and adjust print equipment as necessary to maintain efficient operations and minimise downtime.
  • Assisting with machine breakdowns and supporting shift technicians as and when required.
  • Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance in the print department on a routine basis and record in SAP.
  • Identify and develop saving projects.

 

Required skills / qualifications:
  • Experienced Engineer with mechanical or electrical engineering background.
  • Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  • Experience, preferably from a role requiring multi-disciplines.
  • Computer literate and good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
What we offer :
  • Minimum £31,724 - £39,104 per Annum (Grade 6)

  • Monday – Friday, 37 hours per week, with option for condensed hours, plus 26.5 days holiday + 8 statutory holidays
