SAP Administrator – Days

 

Ardagh Glass is part of the essential working sector and has proudly operated continuously throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.  The Doncaster business unit has manufactured glass containers since 1968 and is part of a leading supplier in glass packaging solutions for the world’s leading brands.

 

The site currently has a vacancy for a SAP Administrator (System Applications and Products in Data Processing) reporting directly to the Plant Engineering Manager. The purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the Doncaster plant and become the main point of contact for all administration assistance linked to SAP.

 

 Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Administration of the SAP system to include placing orders, service entry, system reporting and become the identified key user & trainer, to allow effective data processing and information flow across the business using the software
  • Legislation upkeep for company auditing compliance
  • Contractor management to include risk assessments and document control
  • Obtaining competitive supplier quotations in line with company policy and co-ordinate external suppliers

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • The ability to comply with legislation and procedures
  • Experience in using the SAP system or boast strong IT skills
  • First class communication skills, personal drive and have a proactive nature
  • Excellent computer literacy to include analysis of data for report writing
  • The confidence to deal with customers and manage contractors
  • The capacity to be well organised, able to meet deadlines and the ability to prioritise
  • Obtained at least 3 G.C.S.E’s - level 4 or above (level C or above) to include Maths & English
  • Achieved or prepared to work towards a NVQ in Business Administration up to level 3
