Finance Analyst - Operations (Hybrid)

A commercial role reporting to the Group Finance Director of Operations to support the delivery of Group led strategic projects aimed at enhancing the Groups financial and operational performance. The role offers a unique opportunity to interact with and learn from senior management at Group, Business Unit and Country level.

 The roll supports a wide range of activities including but not limited to; working capital management, mergers and acquisitions, risk management and organic growth initiatives. The skills required to execute the role successfully include; financial reporting, project management, effective communication, the ability to influence, the ability to work with and influence a wide cross section of different functions, the ability to work in a team (inc. with third party consultants) and the ability to work on multiple engagements simultaneously prioritizing activities accordingly.

 

Activities may include but are not limited to; managing project budgets and timelines, preparation of financial models and scenario analysis, execution of contract terms, de risking of the Groups DB pension liability and monitoring of strategic growth initiatives.

Required skills / qualifications:
  • 2.1 University degree or equivalent
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mobilise and organise resources, including the identification and involvement of key stakeholders, to meet key deliverables on time
  • Strong technical accounting and analytical skills and experience
  • Solid leadership, stakeholder management and engagement skills 
  • Convincing interpersonal impact and personal credibility
  • Proactive, detail oriented, excellent prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to design and execute large scale projects in a complex environment
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, think strategically and work independently
  • Attention to detail and persistence
  • Change management skills
  • Strong business acumen
