Trainee Accountant 
We have a permanent opportunity for someone to join our team in Dublin.  This role provides the successful candidate with a great opportunity to attain an accounting qualification within a dynamic and professional organisation while at the same time gaining significant and varied experience within a commercial industry environment.

The role will be varied with exposure to our finance, tax and treasury departments.  You will get the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in an Irish multinational plc.


Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

•    Assist in the preparation of the monthly consolidated management accounts 
•    Assist in the preparation of the quarterly and year-end reporting process (IFRS)
•    Assist in booking up local head office companies 
•    Assist in the preparation of the statutory financial statements for Irish companies 
•    Assist in the management of budgeting and forecasting processes which are highly integrated with the accounting systems 
•    Assist in reconciling all inter-company balances for the Group on a monthly basis 
•    Gain understanding and provide support for key financial systems (Hyperion Financial Management – HFM)
•    Manage and prioritise ad hoc information requests, performing high quality analysis and insightful information to support decision-making 
•    Assisting in preparing the Group costs to be recharged to entities, analysing Group costs compared to budget and investigating any deviations 
•    Liaise with local finance teams, Group Tax and Group Treasury
•    Work with the Group management team on Group and local business projects as they arise 
•    Assist in the investigation of the monthly variance between actual and budgeted group costs 


The person
•     Honours / master’s degree in business / finance / accounting program not essential but beneficial with a good understanding of accounting
•    Part-qualified applicants and those seeking a career in accounting by training through industry will also be considered
•    Good communication skills (oral and written), attention to detail.
•    Strong problem solving, organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise responsibilities and complete work accurately and in a timely manner.
•    Strong commercial interest and the ambition to pursue a successful career in business.
•    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other business software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe,
