Treasury Compliance Analyst - (Hybrid)

The purpose of this role is to take responsibility for all tasks in relation to compliance and documentation to meet external ( i.e. KYC, documentation requests from banks, bank account documentation, cash management documentation) and internal control requirements. 


The Treasury Compliance Analyst will also be responsible for supporting a wide range of  treasury operational tasks. These tasks include but are not limited to payment processing, trade confirmation, system administration and bank account management, audit management, process improvement projects and Group Treasury projects.  The Treasury Compliance Analyst will be a key point of contact for counterparty banks, Group entities and internal business partners

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Responsible for compliance and documentation for Group Treasury, including projects and daily operations.
  • Responsbile for Group Treasury external documentation requirements i.e. KYC requests, bank account opening and closing, cash management documentation etc.
  • Responsbile for ITGC and other business controls .
  • Responsbile for credit card program and annual review.
  • Co-ordinate, monitor and improve all control documentation in place across Treasury i.e., procedures, manual, RACM.
  • Provide support on treasury activities which can include:
    • Perform bank reconciliation of Treasury controlled accounts in the Treasury Management System.  Investigate and resolve any unreconciled items in a timely manner.
    • Process SAP in-house cash management and analysis of FX positions
    • Process daily treasury payments including funding requests, trade settlements, bond interest payments etc. Coordinate rotation of payment approvers.
    • Check Front Office trade input in the Treasury Management System and confirm trades with counterparty banks.  Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
    • Perform month end and regulatory reporting and act as a control owner for certain key business controls.  Conduct a monthly review to assess whether controls are operating effectively.  
    • Prepare hedge documentation and coordinate sign-off.
    • Administration of the monthly netting cycle and ensure tasks are completed as per the Netting Timetable. Assist Group Entities with queries. 
    • Manage and  update the Treasury Management System, SAP and electronic banking platforms with accurate static and user data e.g. settlement instructions for payments.  Liaise with banks and Group Entities to resolve issues/queries in relation to user access. 
    • Record and process loans and provide accurate monthly reporting including interest statements to Group Entities.
    • Participate in audits by performing walk-throughs of controls and providing requested information and samples to auditors.
    • Preparation of sale and settlement files and related cash transfers, monthly reporting in relation to Factoring process.
    • Highlight performance issues with the Treasury Management System and participate in testing prior to implementation of patches or system upgrades.
    • Support Group Treasury Operations Manager and Treasury Operations Supervisor on global initiatives impacting Group Treasury Operations e.g. restructuring projects.  Implement process improvements for Group Treasury Operations achieving straight through processing of operational activities.


Key Experience Required:

  • Degree Qualified. 
  • Knowledge of Treasury and financial products essential. 
  • Preferably hold ACT qualification or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years Corporate Treasury or banking experience essential.
  • Works on own initiative, problem solver, attention to detail and accuracy essential, excellent time management and interpersonal skills. Organised and motivated. 
  • Capable of documentation management and providing support to the Group Treasury Operations team.
