Maintenance & Job Change Specialist

Role description:
The Maintenance and Job Change Specialist oversees the production line equipment setup and ensures job changes are run effectively so that glass containers aremanufactured efficiently, meeting customer requirements and production efficiencies in a safe manner.
Responsibilities:
• Establish and work alongside the Tank Managers and Job Change maintenance personnel to maintain process control while ensuring shop work orders andpreventative maintenance (PMs) are complete
• Direct and supervise job changes to ensure proper standard operating procedures are being followed
• Evaluate job changes after startup and provide guidance and direction to employees in reducing equipment variability
• Document job changes and review histories to assure the repeatability of proper setups
• Work with Tank Managers and cold-end supervisors to observe and ensure machine inspection equipment and line flow is at optimal production levels
• Observe and assist in plant production as needed
• Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment consistent with Ardagh Glass Packaging's policies and procedures while striving for zero accidents
• Maintain an effective working relationship within functional areas and with other departments ensuring effective and timely communication
• Comply with operational, environmental, and food safety standards as outlined in plant policies and programs within the department
• Complete Gemba walks the week prior to job change to ensure work needed is communicated and scheduled properly
• Attend the weekly JOJO meeting
• Assist in the cold end with break downs and projects as needed
Minimum skills / qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Three (3) years of experience in glass manufacturing with an emphasis on Maintenance, Production and Quality
• Prior experience with understanding defects
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient organizational, analytical, and planning skills
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to travel up to 5%
Preferred skills / qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline
• Five (5) years glass manufacturing experience
