Role Description:

The General Laborer will perform a variety of tasks throughout scheduled work shift. Initially, majority of the work will be paint preparation and paint application to machinery and or parts, paint mixing procedures for epoxy and polyurethane paints, maintaining paint equipment and area to current safety standards, maintaining respirators, and breathing supply system, operate forklifts and overhead crane as necessary. Position will work in cooperation with and support our mechanics and equipment rebuilders. Performs common tasks outside the scope of this job description to help support the facility and equipment production as assigned by supervisor.


Key Responsibilities:

General Support:

  • Assists co-workers within immediate department as required.
  • Assists outside department personnel per Supervisor’s request or approval.
  • May occasionally perform common tasks outside the scope of this job description in support of facility.
  • May be cross trained and utilized to perform technical tasks outside the scope of this job description in support of production operations.
  • Assist in supporting warehouse, production and other departments when needed
  • Communicate clearly and effectively to team members and management.
  • Assist with facility housekeeping
  • Transporting materials throughout the facility
  • Various physical labor duties depending on job/department assigned to work


  • Prepare products for final paint job by sanding, grinding, and deburring
  • Ensure all items are properly masked when required
  • Use air power sprayer, air powered spray guns, and application devices, as needed
  • Operate a spray gun system to accurately apply paint to machines / and parts.
  • Maintain clean and orderly working area keeping in compliance with established safety standards
  • Perform basic maintenance to paint booth, following set schedules



  • Minimum education of High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Experience in Industrial Spray Painting, preferred
  • Knowledge of paint systems, sprayers, and paint set-up and preparation including prepping, priming, sanding and spot painting.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Agility to stand, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and pull
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments in type and scope
  • Accountable attendance record
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
