Materials Development Intern

Purpose of the Job:

• Assist the lab team with beverage warranty testing
• Assist the lab team with other testing as needed
• Participate in exploratory R&D

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Set up and tear down of e-chem cells
• Organize and enter liquids into the testing queue
• Bulk properties testing (pH, chloride, dissolved oxygen)
• Database entry and maintenance
• Other lab testing as appropriate
• Electrochemical R&D for beverage screening

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors’ degree from a 4-year accredited university
• 3.0 GPA- highly preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience conducting research
• Self-starter
• Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently 
• Ability to follow policies and procedures

The starting hourly base rate for this role is $21.00. Please note that the range for the rate provided is a good faith estimate and is only applicable for roles that are based out of Illinois. The final rate will be determined after considering relevant factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and work location, where appropriate.
