Summary:  Supervises and coordinates activities of production crew members engaged in operating variety of machines to manufacture cans. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

 

  1. Review production schedule and coordinate runs according to schedule.
  2. Review crew manning and assign employees to ensure that positions are covered.
  3. Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
  1. Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
  1. Communicate with crew members regarding adjusting machines and equipment which fail to meet standards.
  1. Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  1. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
  1. Maintains accurate and timely labor, labor hours, spoilage and production production records.
