Role description:

The IT Planning Solutions Functional Analyst provides expert insight, recommendations, and solutions for the business pertaining to all aspects of Integrated Business Planning (IBP). The primary focus is to support the implementation and maintenance of IT solutions and on-going business projects related to continuous improvement. This position acts as the subject matter expert for all support and master data management systems related to the IBP solution. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support business process analysis for Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Sequencing, Inventory Optimization, and Order promising for Ardagh NA
  • Execute design & configuration setup of IT Planning applications in support of business requirements
  • Develops functional specifications for modifications, interfaces, reports, and screens that meet the business objectives
  • Plans and manages the design, implementation, and integration of systems and processes for specific business areas or departments
  • Builds partnerships across all organization levels within Information Technology, internal business customers, technical support resources, and external business partners
  • Provides leadership on project teams as appropriate to ensure successful completion on time, and within budget.
  • Identifies trends and gaps with existing systems and processes.
  • Identifies opportunities and proposes projects to improve systems, processes, and infrastructure
  • Performs resolution of day-to-day operations issues to ensure user, business and production requirements are met
  • Ensure communications and documentation of status, root cause and resolutions are provided
  • Performs testing of new system functionality and quality assurance for all systems fixes, enhancements, changes, and implementations
  • Ensures support documentation is created, updated, and used as intended to assist with production troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Collaborates with External IT Application Support (Cloud and Help Desk) as well as internal IT to investigate software issues reported by Supply Chain Planners and implement remediation steps including following case initiation and escalation procedures with Blue Yonder Support
  • Continuously monitors various releases of Blue Yonder and liaise with Business and IT to determine enhancements that could be of value to the business.
  • Works with external Implementation Partners, IT and Business representatives to develop/test the new features and follow protocol to promote to production

 

Minimum skills / qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with integrated planning solutions such as Blue Yonder, SAP APO, SAP or others, preferably in one or more areas of Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Production Sequencing
  • Good technical understanding of SAP ECC modules such as PP, SD,LE
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure and cloud technologies
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Travel: 10-20%

  • Deep understanding of Application development and application lifecycle management
  • Ability to analyze project, program and portfolio needs
  • Excellent communications skills - both written and verbal
  • Teamwork, Oral & written Communications, Logical Analysis, Business skills and methods, Business Processes, Strategic Planning, Application and integration modelling and design skills
  • Knowledge of problem analysis, structured analysis, and design techniques. IT experience in a global operations environment
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create original concepts/theories for a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to facilitate business meetings and influence best practices

Compensation

The anticipated base annual salary range for this role is between $xx,xxx and xx,xxx per year. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate. The final salary will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
