ROLE DESCRIPTION

This role is part of the planning leadership team responsible for Supply Planning, optimizing service, cost and administrative efficiency. Generating a supply plan that optimizes all the constraints and resources of the business operations to maximize Ardagh’s operating performance. This role is at the fulcrum of all AGP’s supply chain decision-making and very large costs and benefits depend on the quality of decisions made in this role.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks, Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Supply Planning/RCCP medium-term to long-term (0 to 18 months periodically 3 years, monthly buckets) – Glass
  • Glass: Inventory and network optimization (size and regional level)
  • Mid-term agenda/scenarios for decision making and gap closing building on volumetric and financial understanding
  • Setting of inventory build ‘shape’
  • Drives transformation for Supply Planning process/tools, leveraging technology to be best in class
  • Guiding role to the SPD Managers: responsible for supporting the regions transformation and standardization – process and tools, including standard S&OE process
  • Optimization of scheduling process and tools in the tollers
  • Creation of the logistics plan
  • Helps facilitate Supply Review
  • Lead for the implementation of the supply side of the new planning tool

  • Production conformance to Agreed Medium Term Plan
  • Conformance to annual stock building targets
  • Accountable for Inventory levels /DSO
  • Average run length
  • Logistics distances run
  • Warehouse utilization
  • Network optimized plan  - Costs of the plan
  • IBP Supply Review effectiveness score

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training, Computer Skills:

  • Masters' degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Data Science or similar. Will consider non-degreed professional with 10+ years’ experience.
  • Effective theoretical knowledge of supply planning approaches; measurement systems; and risk evaluation.

Experience:

  • Proven planning leader with a major company background
  • Proven past exposure to real life risk judgement and management
  • Ideally experience in fast-moving consumer goods industry
