Role Description:

 

To carry out electrical repair and maintenance work on factory equipment and services to maintain efficient operations of the plant.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintenance of glass bottle forming machines and all plant equipment and services.
  • Performing reactive/planned preventative maintenance (PM)
  • Identify and repair electrical faults with factory equipment and services.
  • Small electrical installations, electrical modification projects.

Required skills / qualifications:

  • Must have gained a recognised Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering.
  • Educated to HNC/HND level.
  • Good fault-finding and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of PLC’s and Inverter drives.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings.
  • Able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team under pressure.
  • Good team ethic.
  • Commitment and enthusiasm to support a 24-hour process.
  • Excellent engineering skills and initiative.
  • Computer literate with good oral and written communication skills.
  • Have a good understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Tools and continuous improvement.
  • Have an awareness of relevant Health & Safety and Hygiene Regulations.

 

What we offer:

  • Salary based on Grade 6 of the harmonised pay scales (Shift worker).  Minimum grade £44,018 p.a. to maximum grade £49,005 p.a.
