Shift Hot End Engineer

An excellent career opportunity has arisen for a Shift Engineer (Production) at Irvine plant.   The successful applicant will preferably have worked within a production environment, dealing with the maintenance of production line equipment and have experience in I.S. Machine and engineering services maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair I.S. Machines and ensure that job changes are carried out efficiently.
• Carry out checks on the I.S. Machines, hot end sprays and lubrication during the shift.
• Identify faults with the machine during and after job changes.
• Make necessary adjustments to the machine in order to run correctly, maintain efficiency and reduce downtime.

Required skills / qualifications:

• Must be a Time Served Mechanical Engineer.
• Have ability on all I.S. Machines equipment to set-up, adjust, repair, dismantle/re-assemble and diagnose faults.
• Have basic welding, fabrication, and pipework installation experience.
• An awareness of relevant Health & Safety and Hygiene Regulations
• Basic understanding of the glass manufacturing process.
• Have a good understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Tools and continuous improvement.
