Ardagh Group, a global supplier of sustainable packaging solutions, producing packaging for the world’s leading brands, are recruiting for Finance Trainees to join our Finance team in Dublin.
Our Finance Trainee Programme is structured to provide successful candidates with a unique opportunity to gain initial experience across a wide range of finance functions, including Finance, Tax & Treasury, with the option of subsequently specialising in a specific function during the second phase of the programme.

- Develop a strong initial foundation across a wide range of finance functions during the first 18 months of the programme, including Finance, Tax & Treasury, before focusing on an area of specialization during the second 18 months.

Responsibilities
Candidates will be expected to achieve accountancy and/or tax or treasury qualifications over the course of their training period. The duties of the role will include, but not be limited to:
- Assisting the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes, including global tax reporting.
- Assisting the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
- Involvement in the internal and external audit processes.
- Assisting the corporation tax and VAT return processes, in addition to involvement in tax technology projects and ad hoc advisory matters.
- Assisting local cash management and treasury activities, including settlements, cash analysis and cash projections for internal/external stakeholders.
The person
- Honours undergraduate degree in business/finance/accounting program. Part-qualified accountants and/or tax/treasury professionals may also be considered.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), attention to detail and the ability to professionally represent the Ardagh Finance department.
- Strong problem solving, organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise responsibilities and complete work accurately and in a timely manner.
- Strong commercial interest and the ambition to pursue a successful career in business.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other business software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe, etc.)
- Ability to work in a team and show willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
The role will be based in Dublin; however, occasional international travel may be required.
