Production Supervisor


Role Description:

Ardagh's Production Supervisor is responsible for leading developing and engaging production employees to accomplish operational results. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide resources for the execution of the operations routines, through the monitoring of preventive and corrective maintenance of the equipment, control of production volume and type of label to be produced.
  • Perform the opening and closing of Production Orders.
  • Make decisions based on analysis of technical and statistical data to ensure the assertiveness of the decision.
  • Direct actions to minimize losses in the production process, increase operational efficiency and control the consumption of inputs.
  • Ensure the execution of the action plans and directives of the area in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals and operational results.
  • Supervise the rework activities of products out of specification so as to conform them to the quality standard, performing activities such as: respray, sorter, rework in the customer's production line (when necessary).
  • Facilitate the communication and dissemination of corporate information among the team.
  • Technically develop the team according to the competency matrix assessing individual training needs.
  • Perform the evaluation of team performance, within the established deadlines, mapping the strengths and opportunities of each employee to draw up the individual development plan and retention of talent.
  • Perform positive feedback and correction, promoting the development of each employee in alignment with the company's strategies and values.
  • Perform technical and administrative activities related to personnel management, such as: recruitment and selection, integration of new employees, training plan and control, electronic point adjustment, vacation planning, disciplinary measures and shutdown.
  • Promote a healthy work environment for team engagement and better results.
  • Practice the concept of "Continuous Improvement" in the process, implementing safety and quality improvements, complying with and enforcing housekeeping practices.
  • Communicate to immediate management any problem that occurs in the production process.
  • Develop other activities that are requested by immediate management
  • Establish a working environment which promotes the importance of employees acting with integrity and in an ethical manner.
  • Ensure the execution of key internal controls within the area of responsibility
  • Demonstrate commitment to the Ardagh core values and policies and procedures.



  • Strong knowledge and experience in mechanical maintenance of equipment.
  • Ability to interpret and consult the technical manuals of the equipment.
  • Intermediate English for conversation, writing and reading
  • Ability to interpret and analyze statistical data
  • Intermediate knowledge of the Office suite (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Complete Higher Education in Business Administration or Engineering;
  • Experience with people management.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the Ardagh core values and policies and procedures.
