Forming Support Engineer CTS (m/f/d)

To reinforce our team at any of our Ardagh Glass Plant in Europe we are looking for a Forming Support Engineer (m/f/d) in our CTS Department (Central Technical Services) as soon as possible.
The jobholder will provide technical expertise to ensure successful delivery of forming equipment installations, replacements, repairs and upgrades within any one of our 20 plants in Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine project requirements and develop own area scope to achieve optimum solution considering all potential factors (technical, environmental, commercial, timescale etc.).
- Prepare a detailed specification and invitation to tender.
- Carry out cost and material estimates, to contribute to overall project budget.
- Work with equipment suppliers and local plant teams to agree specifications and quality standards.
- Carry out the technical part of the procurement process for contracting engineering and site services.
- Manage the engineering process and participate in the project teamwork during the planning phase including frequent visits and on-site meetings.
- Supervise and manage site works during the actual site implementation phase, supervising contractors and coordinating interfaces with other project areas.
- Supervise and manage commissioning, performance tests, snagging items until hand-over to the factory.
- Keep abreast of developments on related technology in general and throughout the Group and contribute to Group knowledge and understanding.
- Provide advice on Forming equipment and associated work practices to the production facilities in order to maximize efficiency.
- Adhere to and enforce Health and Safety regulations and policies.
- Promote the development and implementation of best practice/standardized technologies and designs across the company.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline is preferable.
- Overview of the container glass production process.
- In-depth knowledge of forming equipment, lehrs, hot and cold end coating equipment and associated services
- Minimum of 3-5 years job experience in mentioned fields
- Experience of supervising contractors
- Good English language skills
- Communication and problem resolution skills
- Driving license
- Based in one of our European Glass plants, but the general commitment for business trips has to be available, also for unscheduled travel in case of problems
