Main Purpose of the Position

 

Key areas of responsibility will be to drive, develop and improve the plants services systems, ensuring all ancillary equipment monitoring, servcing and record keeping is carried out across all shifts (Compressors, Cooling Towers, etc). Arrange for service contracts and external resources within allocated budgets- work with procurement to ensure best value services.

           

In the maintenance function you will support the Plants electrical control systems and support integration of 3rd party service scheduling into Fiix CMMS system. Use software packages to fault find, diagnose and rectify issues on electrical installations and equipment to support factory outputs and minimise plant downtime. Developing our existing systems and equipment to ensure we are fully utilising the latest tools and technologies, and also linking in with the wider group for best practices.

           

Working alongside the Engineering Coordinators, ensuring we have the correct tooling and machinery capabilities for height changes in the plant. Further then developing these changes to minimise change times. Working with CI using SMED tools and processes to improve change over times and minimise downtime.

 

The position will report directly to the Electrical Co ordinator.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Keep adequate records of any work carried out e.g. service records
  • Keep adequate records of expenditure and ensure that budgets aren’t exceeded
  • Complete any maintenance tasks required on service equipment - arrange any necessary contractor help for maintenance tasks/breakdowns
  • Order in any necessary spare parts using SAP ordering system
  • Make any necessary changes to machine programs/line controls
  • Carry out a variety of planned and reactive electrical maintenance tasks
  • Fault finding, diagnosis and repair of electrical installations, systems and equipment
  • Plan for maintenance days and pit-stops
  • Use engineering software to complete tasks e.g TIA and Step 7
  • Complete any necessary program upgrades
  • Ensure all contractors have RAMS, are inducted and issue relevant PTW documents as required
  • Ensure all equipment calibrations are up to date and scheduled effectively to maintain compliance
  • Work with engineering Coordinators to design SOP’s & subsequent risk assessments for service equipment procedures for all activities
  • To develop and maintain excellent communication skills with the Engineering Team, Height Change/ CI team and production department to enhance integration together with team spirit

Qualifications

Languages

English (written and verbal)

Computer Skills/literacy

  • MS Office packages to include Word and Excel. Knowledge of Apriso
  • Maintenance system knowledge advantageous
