Position within Site or Function

 

 

 

Main Purpose of the Position

 

Prepares, optimises and facilitates a production plan which meets the needs of the Swiss Principal. Optimises the effective utilisation of the manufacturing facility. Daily update of all relevant production and Logistics reports. Departmental support when needed.  Plant responsible for Alu supply

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Produces reports as required including, inventories and held raw materials.
  • Daily planning activities as preparing weekly production plan, coordinating the forecast input and initial sequencing.
  • Manage the production plan and arrange raw material supply for plan: projects / customer approvals / maintenance / trials etc.
  • Checks that all graphics requirements and production formats are approved and in place to meet the production plan for cans.
  • Establish an optimum production plan which meets the requirements of Ardagh Principal and optimises the effective running of the manufacturing operation.
  • In conjunction with Ardagh Principal adapt the production plan to accommodate extraordinary circumstances e.g. shutdowns, quality issues, down-time etc.
  • Proactively communicate planning problems to all relevant parties.
  • Using SAP to set up new labels and maintain master data.
  • Responsible for Alu coil data, booking onto SAP, calling into plant, weekly and month end counts.
  • Dealing with Logistics and Transport queries and solving queries.
  • Utilise the appropriate software systems necessary to carry out the key responsibilities of this role.
  • - Assisting the Stores function when required and other duties as needed.
