Direct the financial functions and assure compliance with established procedures administering accounting and financial controls directing the preparation analysis and interpretations of financial reports and data required by plant and corporate management.

  • Maintain timely and accurate production and inventory reporting systems Prepare and/or administer the preparation of month end financial statements and associated journal entries.
  • Analyze balance sheet accounts as required Direct the activities of the accounting and payroll staff.
  • Develop an annual business plan with assistance from Department Managers and corporate staff.
  • Provide regular reporting of department and plant performance to the appropriate managers and participate in corrective action plans as needed.
  • Comply with Environmental and Food Safety standards as set forth in plant policies and programs within Department responsibilities.
  • Prepare and deliver financial business reports and presentations for all levels of the organization
  • Experience with and working knowledge of financial internal controls by enforcing policies and monitoring process locally for compliance
  • Must be able to partner within the organization and the process – Be able to hold team and internal customers accountable
  • Must demonstrate financial leadership, ability to be business partner in decision making with the plant manager
  • Ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor s degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • Prefer MS or CPA.
  • At least five 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Must possess a strong financial background and be able to do month end financial preparation and analysis yearly budgeting and lant accounting functions
  • Must be able to function as onsite information technology expert for the Plant.
  • Must have excellent PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point, Access, and SAP software required.
  • Must have strong communication skills and possess exceptional organizational and planning skills be able to handle multiple tasks in a team-based environment.
  • Understanding of Six Sigma principles and 5S concepts
