HR Director, Ardagh Metal Packaging - Europe (AMP-E) (m/f/d)
 
Role overview: 
The Human Resources Director AMP-E is a key member of the Ardagh Metal Packaging (AMP)-E leadership team. As a strategic business partner to AMP-E’s CEO and the member of AMP-E executive team, the HR Director partners with the CHRO and HR leadership team to develop a HR strategy that meets the near- and long-term business needs and reflects the global HR strategy.  Coordination with the European Works Council .

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Partner with AMP-E CEO and CHRO to align regional HR strategy with business needs.
  • Provide strategic input on organizational design and capability building.
  • Support the evolution of the HR function by actively participating in the Global HR Leadership Team, contributing to the development of the Global HR Strategy, and championing the work of the Communities of Practice (COPs). 

Culture & Talent

  • Lead the AMP-E’s talent acquisition; learning and leadership development; diversity, equity and inclusion and engagement activities, to ensure the business has the right people at the right time with the right skills. Align all activities with the global HR strategy, Centers of Excellence, Group policies and processes and the global HR Communities of Practice.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Demonstrate commitment to the Ardagh core values and policies and procedures.
  • Establish a working environment which promotes the importance of integrity and ethics.
  • Lead and manage employee relations to ensure legal obligations and company agreements are met so that business disruption is limited.  
  • Ensure that all Group HR policies are communicated across the AMP-E business and monitor compliance.  Add and adapt polices in line with local legal requirements and market best practice.
  • Provide input to topics such as data privacy, business continuity, risk management and crisis management ensuring that HR’s perspective and expertise is reflected in company decision-making.
  • Ensure the execution of key internal controls within the area of responsibility.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Ensure the compensation and benefits across the region are market-competitive and are delivered in accordance with the guidance of the Center of Excellence (CoE) Group processes, and legal requirements.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure that the AMP-E’s HR team deliver the employee life cycle processes efficiently, cost effectively and in line with global policies and processes.  
  • Oversee the collection of HR KPIs to measure HR effectiveness and impact.  Monitor and report on trends to BU Executive Team and HR Leadership.  Implement action plans to address issues and continually improve performance.
  • Manage AMP-E’s HR headcount and budgets.  Identify and deliver operational efficiencies and cost savings, where it is possible and good for the business. Work with the business on labour cost.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach and develop the AMP-E’s HR team. Leverage the expertise within the team and identify any skill gaps that exist.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or in related field, master preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of HR experience within in a multi-site, multi-country manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated success in union negotiations and managing complex employee relations across different jurisdictions
  • Expertise in plant labor cost management, workforce planning, and transformations
  • Results focused and driven
  • Strong HR related process knowledge and ability to coordinate and communicate HR strategy effectively
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge
  • Change management skills
  • Effective communication/influencing/negotiation/conflict management skills
