Global Environment, Health & Safety Programs Manager - Ardagh Metal Packaging

 

 

Role Description: The Global EHS Programs Manager supports in the development and execution of EHS strategies for the organization in actionable plans that align with the AMP EHS Vision.  The role is a critical interface between the Global/ Regional functions and site teams in the development and implementation of Global EHS and FSPP programs.  In this role you will track and report progress against objectives in support of the EHS Strategy.  Success in this role is measured through a delivery of a sustained zero-harm culture, improved risk resilience and demonstrable performance improvement across the business.

 

              Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and execution of the AMP Global EHS and FSPP Frameworks
  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop EHS and risk management capabilities within AMP risk team to ensure we have the right skills and are globally coordinated. 
  • Lead development of Root Cause Analysis training (pending coordination with Continuous Improvement function)
  • Partner with Engineering to develop processes where global standardisation is applicable in respect to machine operations
  • Support with the development and training of Critical and Key Risk policies, standards and supporting guidance
  • Establish, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to the Global and Regional teams
  • Facilitate and schedule Global EHS Maturity Assessments within each region
  • Participate in the Global EHS Maturity Assessments and FSPP assessments
  • Coordinate with Global and Regional EHS teams to remain apprised of initiatives, guidance, relevant incidents, and regulatory updates.
  • Support Implementation of programs to ensure compliance with all applicable EH&S laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Assist with orientation of new EHS team members within the Region when required.
  • Identify good practices and recognition opportunities for sharing with the broader AMP teams
  • Lead/ assist investigation of high-risk incidents, identifying root causes to prevent recurrence.
  • Assist sites with Risk Management prioritization and identification of capital expenditure projects aligned with Global and Regional objectives.

 

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in an engineering or technical subject
  • Occupational H&S / Environmental / Risk management degree
  • 7 plus years of EH&S Experience in an industrial setting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing sector
  • Excellent leadership abilities and extensive knowledge of EHS Management Systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and comfortable using a variety of software programs
  • Ability to lead remotely and in a multiculture environment
  • Open communication skills (sending, receiving messages, understanding, empathy)
